Unmissable “pair of strangers”

The 20th season of the adventure show Beijing Express began on January 16 on M6. For this anniversary edition “The route of the legendary tribes”, which will cross four African countries, the Lorraine candidate Moâde forms the essential “pair of unknowns” with Ludovic, an accountant from the North that this thirty-year-old, originally from Pont-à -Monsoon in Meurthe-et-, discovered during the first broadcast.

He discovered his fellow adventurer at the foot of the plane in Tanzania as is the rule which governs the famous “pair of strangers” of Beijing Express, a customary duo of improbable alliances.

The discovery of his partner gave him a cold sweat, “I’m afraid of the embarrassing moment” he agrees to Stéphane Rotenberg. From a distance, the Lorraine candidate can see the silhouette of a “guy built for adventure”. Looking more closely, the discovery of his sidekick’s physique plunges him into disarray: “it’s not possible, this guy is a librarian, he’s going to take out his binders for me. It’s more Rambo, but the Rambo of the sandboxes. »

Better than Rambo…

Oh no. His partner Ludovic is not Rambo, but a slightly paunchy notary accountant, solitary and single, whom his parents intend to “fit in during the show. » Yet the good-natured character of Ludovic the Northerner immediately appealed to our Lorraine, “there is always a delta between expectations and reality but I was very pleasantly surprised. »

It will not take more than one event to seal the “pair of unknowns” who came in second place in the first stage. “Cohesion is achieved! » for Moâde as for the public who have already voted the duo “darlings of the 20th season. »

From Pont-à-Mousson to Zoufftgen, via

“I had applied for the pair of unknowns during the previous season,” failed Moâde tried his luck again for this 20th season. “This time I did the casting with a colleague but for professional reasons it was not possible. M6 contacted me again to offer me the pair of strangers. »

Presented as “sporty and sociable”, Moâde grew up in Pont-à-Mousson, passed through Nancy in a prep class, the thirty-year-old is now based in Zoufftgen in Moselle and holds a position as a cybersecurity engineer in a company in the Luxembourg. At 30, “passionate about scientific journals”, he is also “a dancer
moonwalk expert and accomplished opera singer. »

Driven by the call of challenge and the desire to live “as many experiences as possible, good or bad”, Moâde has fulfilled “a childhood dream, coming from a modest background, I have traveled little and I am ‘a generation marked by Beijing Express. »

«Comeback experts»

Promising beginnings in Tanzania? Starting last during the two events of the first broadcast, “the unknowns” came second in the first qualification and in the final classification of the stage. “We left dead last, we are experts in the comeback,” he smiles.

The sporty-looking Lorraine suffered during the first trek in Africa and was able to count on “the extraordinary resilience and steely mentality of Ludovic” his partner. A united and endearing team that the public loves. “I received a lot of messages of love and kindness after the show aired.

If Moâde and Ludovic capitalize on the public’s compliments, the Lorraine engineer can count on the unfailing support of those close to him. “Attachment to family is a value that I share with Ludovic. »

In his professional entourage, too, the support is unfailing: “They blocked off all their Thursdays to watch the show together and created a WhatsApp group in which we comment on the episodes in real time. »

Meet Moâde and Ludovic, “the unknowns” in the second episode this season “The road of the legendary tribes” this Thursday, January 23, at 9:10 p.m. on M6.
