The residents of Uckange had a funny surprise this Thursday, January 23.
During the morning, two animals, which looked like wolves, were seen near the bowling alley. Witnesses immortalized the scene.
Posted on Facebook, the photos took a viral turn. Enough to arouse fear but also curiosity among Internet users. The rumor quickly spread: wolves had entered Uckange!

Escaped from their enclosure
They were actually not wolves, but Czechoslovakian wolfdogs. A breed originally resulting from a cross between a dog and a Carpathian she-wolf. Earlier, they had escaped from their enclosure located at the restaurant Le Domaine des Loups, located in the forest on the outskirts of the city. This address is famous for its four adorable dogs, customers’ favorites.
Informed, the town hall and the municipal police were able to contact the owner mid-morning. The latter came to collect his dogs.
Contrary to persistent rumor, school students were not confined to classes. All’s well… that ends well!
