Already in dispute with her owner, Amandine Pellissard denounced on Instagram a scam of which she was the victim with a plumber.
“We took a nice shot.” Revealed on the show Large families: life in XXLAmandine Pellissard is today a real star on social networks. Followed by no more than 380,000 subscribers, she shares every day her little family joys, her new partnerships, but also her hard times. After protesting against the medical costs she has to pay each year for her children, the mother of nine shared with her subscribers that she was currently fighting a battle against her landlord, whom she decided to pursue for several reasons, in particular “scam” et “identity theft”. And her ordeal does not end there, since she and her husband Alexandre claim to have been victims of a visibly ill-intentioned plumber, who decided to provide them with an exorbitant bill.
Amandine Pelissard denounces “overcharging” for one “small leak”
In a story published on Sunday January 19, Amandine Pellissard returned to the chronology of the facts, reminding her subscribers that she had called in a plumber on December 30 for “a small water leak” in the laundry room. “This plumber, he comes, he doesn’t give an estimate. And when it’s finished, he asks us for 781 euros”explains the mother who quickly protested against this exorbitant amount. Especially since, among his subscribers, many people pointed out to him that it was a “overcharging” of a service which generally costs between “90 euros and 200 euros maximum”. If she managed to get 150 euros reimbursed on the invoice by the professional, Amandine Pellissard explained that for the rest, the craftsman didn’t want to hear anything.
-Amandine Pellissard: “It’s logical that you get a backlash”
Indeed, if the plumber is “committed to repay” the Pellissards after being posted on social networks by Amandine Pellissard, “he didn’t do it”. “He started threatening me with revealing my address”she confided, before revealing that she had since filed a complaint. But bad news, a few days after the professional’s intervention, the repairs did not last and the problem repeated itself again. “We paid 781 euros for a poor water leak. When the plumbers saw the price, they were shocked. And what’s more, he didn’t give us a quote, even though it’s obligatory when the costs exceed 150 euros”she clarified. Amandine Pellissard then added that the plumber in question had criticized her for revealing the contact details of her company, which led to false appointments being made by her subscribers, before threatening her. “But in fact, when you want to defraud people, it’s logical that at some point you get a backlash. You’re sullying an entire profession that doesn’t deserve to be smeared, so it’s normal”she added.
