The United States is on a holiday this Monday, a day honoring the memory of Martin Luther King, and the National League schedule will feature hockey from early in the afternoon. However, TVA Sports will offer no less than three matches on its airwaves, not counting another duel presented on TVA Sports Direct.

At 4 p.m., watch the game between the Buffalo Sabers and the Seattle Kraken. Then, at 7:30 p.m., TVA Sports will have a front row seat for the clash between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Also, the Winnipeg Jets will visit Utah HC late in the evening on our airwaves. Finally, the Carolina Hurricanes will face the Chicago Blackhawks at 8:30 p.m. on TVA Sports Direct.

Among the games on display, the one pitting the “Bolts” against the Leafs in the Queen City should attract a fair amount of attention. Despite the absence of John Tavares, the local favorites manhandled the Montreal Canadiens 7 to 3 on Saturday and are aiming for a third consecutive victory.

For their part, the Lightning will try to maintain the pace before arriving at the Bell Center on Tuesday. Head coach Jon Cooper’s men won their two home games before beginning a three-game road trip. Tampa Bay ranks third in the Atlantic Division with 53 points in 44 outings. The team has three games in hand over its rivals who sit at the top of the division with 60 points.

In the morning practice, Jonas Johansson performed the starting goaltender duties and should therefore face Toronto. CH therefore has a chance of facing Andrei Vasilevskiy on Tuesday. In the Leafs clan, Max Pacioretty will miss the meeting due to an upper body injury. The veteran was also hit in the face by a shot on Saturday.

On an individual level, Nikita Kucherov is the third best scorer on the circuit with 68 points, five less than the leader, Nathan MacKinnon, of the Colorado Avalanche.
