Until when will France accept being belittled?
For years, Algeria has been increasing its indignities and refusing to take back its unwanted nationals. The recent statements by the Minister of the Interior have shown their limits and revealed our helplessness.
Latest example to date: three Algerian “influencers”, convicted for serious acts, targeted by OQTF, continue to live freely in France after having published videos of insults, explicit calls for hatred or even calls for murder.
The situation is untenable: 10,000 OQTFs are not executed each year. This laxity fuels insecurity, disrespect for our institutions and seriously exposes our compatriots to dangerous individuals who remain on our soil.
The National Gathering refuses to be content with words. We demand strong actions to defend the sovereignty of our country:
- Immediate suspension of visas for Algerian nationals until Algeria agrees to cooperate fully.
- Blockage of public development aid and freezing of private financial transfers sent from France, an economic lever of 1.8 billion euros which must be used to exert pressure.
- Abrogation of the 1968 agreementswhich offer Algerians unjustified privileges on our soil.
Algeria’s refusal to respect its commitments is a snub to our nation. We can no longer accept being spectators of our own helplessness.
The time for half measures is over. Faced with Algeria’s hostile attitude, only a firm policy will allow authority and security to be restored in France.
