Sunday evening, TF1 ended the week at the top of the prime time audiences. “The Day After” (2004), its Sunday cinema offering in rebroadcast, gave a cold sweat to 3,21 millions of viewers between 9:15 p.m. and 11:13 p.m., according to Médiamétrie. The disaster film, directed by Roland Emmerich with Dennis Quaid, Jake Gyllenhaal and Sela Ward, convinced 17,9% of the entire public aged four and over, 26,0% 25-49 year olds and 27,5% Women responsible for purchasing aged under 50 (FRDA-50). Last Sunday, “The Fall of London”, another film in rebroadcast, held 4.15 million viewers in suspense (21.6% of the public and 27.4% of the FRDA-50).
Nice score for the war between neighbors in “Forbidden Zone” on M6
67,000 viewers behind TF1, France 2 takes second position with “Rebelles” (2019). The rebroadcast comedy, directed by Allan Mauduit with Cécile de France, Audrey Lamy and Yolande Moreau, entertained 3,14 millions of viewers between 9:10 p.m. and 10:31 p.m., i.e. 15,7% from the public, 9,1% 25-49 year olds and 10,3% FRDA-50s. On Sunday, December 11, 2022, its first broadcast made 4.14 million viewers laugh, or 18.8% of the public and 11.3% of women responsible for purchases under 50 (FRDA-50). During its theatrical release, the film, which won the Globes Press Prize at the Alpe d’Huez International Comedy Film Festival in 2019, was watched by 925,321 spectators between March and July 2019.
France 3 reaches the podium with a new episode of the series “The investigations of Commissioner Van Der Valk”. The continuation of season 3 of the British fiction carried by Marc Warren and Maimie McCoy was intriguing 2,19 millions of viewers between 9:05 p.m. and 10:35 p.m. This represents 11,0% ages 4 and up, 1,2% 25-49 year olds and 1,6% FRDA-50, a non-priority commercial target for the public channel. Last Sunday, the launch of season 3 attracted 2.31 million viewers (11.7% of the public and 2.5% of the FRDA-50).
M6 fails at the foot of the podium with a new number of “Forbidden Zone”, presented by Ophélie Meunier. The magazine, on the theme “War between neighbors: how far will they go to win?”, interested 2,13 millions of viewers between 9:14 p.m. and 11:03 p.m., i.e. 11,5% of the public and 17,5% 25-49 year olds. On the FRDA-50 target, the audience share reached 18,3%. On Sunday December 22, 2024, the previous issue attracted 1.42 million viewers (7.5% of those aged 4 and over, 12.2% of 25-49 year olds and 12.7% of FRDA-50).

The public channel had canceled its original broadcast after the death of the co-founder of the National Front in 1972.
