up to -7 degrees in the Arcachon basin, Météo France forecasts in Gironde

The temperature has fallen below 0 degrees In France. For the occasion, Météo France has placed several departments on “severe cold” vigilance. No doubt, winter is here.

The Gironde is not placed on vigilance but the cold was present from the moment they woke up for most of the residents.

An average temperature of -3 degrees is displayed in the department. The mercury even fell to -5 degrees last night on the Arcachon basin. It was also -6.3 degrees in Captieux in South-Gironde.

HAS Bordeauxthe thermometer showed -3 degrees this morning. The next few days will be even colder.

Four departments on vigilance in New Aquitaine

According to forecasts, the temperature is expected to drop to -4 degrees in the Gironde capital on Tuesday January 14 and Wednesday January 15. A difference of -6 degrees with seasonal norms.

The mercury is expected to fall even to -7 degrees in Marcheprime, near the Arcachon basin.

In New Aquitaine, four departments are placed on yellow alert. This is the Corrèzethe Viennathe Haute-Vienne and the Deux-Sèvres.
