Since November 2024, departmental agents are installed in the new Departmental Road Agency (ARD) in Pont-l'Évêque (), which also houses the operations center.

800 km of departmental roads

After a year of work, the new Pont-l'Évêque agency welcomes 29 agents responsible for maintenance and securityincluding 10 assigned to the ARD and 19 to the operations center.

“Previously, the premises were located at Rivière Saint-Sauveur and Coudray-Rabut, but the buildings had become too dilapidated. These new premises are much more pleasant and functional”

Concerning the future of the Coudray-Rabut premises, this has not yet been defined. On the other hand, the Rivière building, located on Chemin du Blanc, is currently for sale.

In short, 50 ARD agents of Pont-l'Évêque, including the operating centers of Pont-l'Évêque and Dozulé, cover 800 km of departmental roads, between Honfleur and Cabourg, via Cambremer, to the outskirts of .

5.7 million euros

On a space of 8 000 m²the agents share a wooden building of 1,300 m², including 800 m² dedicated to storage and technical premises. The operation, including land, works and project management, represents a total cost of 5 700 000 €. The integrity of the work was financed by the Calvados department.

“This construction is part of the strategic real estate plan. The objective is to rationalize locations, restructure and improve the environmental performance of buildings.”

48 photovoltaic panels

Designed in boisthe premises were designed using “biosourced” materials.

“We have taken the energy transition into account by favoring the use of wood both for construction and for insulation.”

Concerned about the transition to sustainable energy, the agency has a roof equipped with 48 photovoltaic panels et a tank for collecting rainwater, used for cleaning machinery. “This is a low-energy and sustainable project,” concludes the architect.
