The Classe Moyenne collective, in which we find former participants of La Voix, has been successful since the launch of their eponymous song in December. In less than two weeks, the group has already received dozens of invitations for summer festivals.

The song Classe Moyenne, unveiled on December 27 on digital platforms, has already accumulated 200,000 downloads on Spotify and Apple in addition to thousands of plays on Tik Tok and Instagram.

“We knew we had a song that was quite “up to life”, then a song that could really bring Quebecers together, ultimately it really exploded […] to see the reactions, to what extent people were on board, that they want more… We have emotions running deep,” explains Gabriel Fredette, who became known at La Voix in 2024.

Gabriel adds that he wants to make music that brings people together, is generally festive and in which the public finds itself.

The instant success of the song has already opened several doors for them. “We received around fifty requests for festivals and we have some great projects that should be implemented, there will be an album, new songs for sure,” reveals one of the members of the collective, Zach Chico.

A project born in a studio

The story of the group begins in the studio of producer Benjamin Nadeau, a former participant in Mixmania 3, having already collaborated with Marc Dupré and Ludovick Bourgeois.

“We found ourselves in Benjamin’s studio and decided to make a song which was released last year. Since then, Middle Class has become a beautiful family,” says Justin Roy.

“We want to give Quebec what they want, music, experiencing emotions through music,” explains Gabriel.

A member of Star Académie

Katrine Sansregret, member of the collective, having already joined Marc Dupré’s team at La Voix, will participate in the first variety of Star Académie 2025, on January 19.

“It’s a big piece that we’re going to miss. We wish him the best. We will encourage and support her in this as much as we can,” confides Justin Roy, also the singer’s spouse.
