This Friday, the talk show It’s a good end to the week was returning to the airwaves, after a few weeks of hiatus. For the occasion, the set was transformed to grandly mark the 15th anniversary of the show.
Several surprise guests appeared in the studio, to surprise loyal viewers, but also the host duo Jean-Michel Anctil and Julie Bélanger. They were also comfortably seated in the guests’ chair, in the first part of the episode. This is how Guillaume Pineault stepped onto the set, with the mandate to offer a well-cooked dish to pay tribute to the 15th anniversary of the popular TVA talk show. And he didn’t pull any punches, with some very spicy jokes.
During his well-cooked presentation, the comedian recalls that Julie co-hosted Two girls in the morning with Mélanie Maynard, “ a slightly eccentric, unpredictable co-host who tended to steal the spotlight. These very sharp arrows, of course imbued with love and kindness, unsurprisingly caused hilarity in the studio. He adds:
« People think It’s a Variety Show, but in reality, Julie, it’s a reality show about you. This is to find out which person is capable of working with you for the longest time! I’m telling you this evening, I’m going to be happy to host with you next year! »
We can’t say he lacks humor! When Julie asked him what was his main motivation for visiting the set, year after year, he explained, straight to the point:
« It’s definitely ticket sales, Julie! »
