A breakdown which affected a large part of Sables-d’Olonne.
Saturday January 4, 2025 at 5:30 p.m., a inverter broke down on TV transmitter of the city.
Emergency repair
From 5:45 p.m., Mickaël Tudeau, manager of Sabl’Image in Sables-d’Olonne, receives some emergency calls on his phone while he is on vacation.
Sunday January 5“a lot of people called,” he explains, who then understands that the situation is alarming.
“I called Télévision de France, based in Paris, at 5 p.m.,” says the manager of Sabl’Image, “they had not seen the breakdown, they were not aware of it, they immediately sent a technician on-call repair of the transmitter inverter which was broken.
Everything is back to normal
The repair took place at 6:30 p.m. and everything is back to normal. Television signal reception therefore returned to Les Sables-d’Olonne.
“I don’t have the exact number, but this outage impacted many homes”assures Mickaël Tudeau.
This Monday, January 6, 2025, some Sablais had not not yet checked that their television was operational again. “We received more than 200 calls,” laughs the manager of Sabl’Image.
A “small, very brief cut” should take place again during the week to correct the last details.
