Dragon Ball Daima seems to be hiding a secret message in the titles of its episodes. The executive producer Akio Iyoku recently revealed this intriguing information, but the details remain unclear, leaving room for much speculation.
A secret in the red character of the titles
As a reminder, Dragon Ball Daima continues the story after the events of the Majin Buu saga, but before the universe of Dragon Ball Super. King Gomah, new ruler of the Demon Kingdom, fears the powers of Goku and his friends. In a desperate act, he uses the Dragon Balls to turn our heroes into children. This is when it begins a new adventure to retrieve the Dragon Balls and undo Gomah's wish.
It was during the radio broadcast “All Night Nippon – Dragon Ball 40th Anniversary Special”, broadcast on January 1, 2025, Akio Iyoku shared the information.
This secret message would be hidden in the red characters present in each episode title. Each title is in fact a Japanese word, with a letter in red katakana, a detail that has not escaped attentive observers. But what do these syllables mean?
An impossible riddle for fans to solve
Fans quickly noticed a peculiarity: all the red letters so far feature dakuten (marks that transform certain sounds into others, like H into B or K into G). This particularity is surely not not a coincidence. According to some observers, the message will only be understandable when all the episode titles have been revealed.
Until now, the red letters form the following sequence: ボグダ㠹ジヅビガゾムデヂズ (bo gu da be ji zu bi ga zo ba of ji zu). Despite fans' best efforts to decode this series of letters, their meaning remains a mystery. It may be necessary wait for the series to end to see this riddle solved…
A wait full of suspense
The anime has currently released 12 episodesand it will be a few more weeks before we can fully understand this secret message. After episode 12, the story took a major turn with acquiring the Dragon Balls from the Demon Realm. Goku and Vegeta hold two of these Dragon Balls, while Arinsu has already collected one, further complicating the heroes' quest.
Producer Iyoku also revealed that he could not yet disclose the date of the final episode or the exact duration of the series. The suspense around the story and the episode titles therefore remains intact. You will have to wait until the next episode comes out, January 10, 2025to perhaps obtain new information.
