Four players in the hot seat in the December 30 episode
On the December 27 episode of The Brain, The Dean offered a second chance to the candidates through a new round. Separated from their duos, only the Betas attempted to open the briefcase using a word formed in five letters on the padlock, with the enigma: “I may be fake, but I have value.” Thanks to the clue “Casino”, Thomas found the answer “Token”. Then, Solène joined him to solve the riddle found in the briefcase. All the candidates ultimately saved their place except Vivian and Nicolo who, each behind their desk, found no riddle… This sent them into an elimination duel against Maissane and Eddy. The Alpha and the Beta will therefore face each other: Maissane against Eddy, and Vivian against Nicolo. Two candidates from each team will be eliminated at the end of this duel.
The Cerveau: Maissane and Vivian in danger after the ordeal of the elimination duels
The time for the elimination duels has arrived. If the candidates were worried about seeing two players leave, La Doyenne offered a glimmer of hope: “I decided to give one of the losing candidates a chance.” allowing other players to save an eliminated player. Nicolo qualified thanks to a game of anagrams, but his victory is tarnished by the worry of seeing his friend Vivian leave. The duel between Maissane and Eddy intensified with a second puzzle that cost Eddy a point, leading to a tie. To decide between them, a subsidiary question was asked. Maissane, despite her IQ of 147, tried her luck but was wrong once again. Eddy finally wins the duel and saves his place in The Brainsealing Maissane's fate.
Carla Moreau puts in place a strategy to save Maissane
Mélanie is convinced that the other candidates are trying to break up the “Totally Spies” trio, made up of herself, Carla Moreau and Maissane. Faced with the imminent elimination of Maissane, concern is growing among her allies. “I'm really freaking out about Maissane, knowing that Vivian has quite a few friends in this game. It's going to be close!” confesses Mélanie, before declaring that with Carla, they must find a strategy to save their friend and preserve their alliance. To sow doubt and weaken the bond between Nicolo and Vivian, Carla reveals a dark secret: Vivian allegedly kissed Solène, whom he covets, behind her back. The players vote one by one to save their favorite losing candidate between Maissane and Vivian. This revelation could well influence Nicolo's vote… One thing is certain: doubt looms large and tension is at its height. Maissane or Vivian? Who will leave campus?
