Some of the biggest festivals, such as Vieilles Charrues or Art Rock, have tried a winter version. It was therefore normal that Paimpol In Rock (PIR) follows this path. This will be the December 28, 2024 at the Mermaid Hall at Paimpol (Côtes-d’Armor)
Pour the musical poster of this winter evening, no need to introduce the Paimpolais of Smooth Motion who have been roaming the stages for more than 10 years with their “Boogie Rock” from the 70s (8:30 p.m.).
To complete this, the Odélectric team called on SBRBS (pronounced “Suburbs”, suburbs in English), a rock group which was a hit at the last Fête de la Coquille but which we also saw at the Binic folk blues festival this summer (10 p.m.).
Finally, the people of Toulouse Circumferencewith their progressive rock, who are returning from a European tour, will close the festival (11:30 p.m.).
I hope this is the first Winter PIR in the series. In any case, it was very difficult to bring together good groups during this period.
A scene will be installed in the Mermaid room whose gauge is set at 240 places.
As of December 17, 85 places had already been sold.
Practical side
In the Sirène hall, you will find the merchandising stands of the groups and the Paimpolais record store The Song of Ankou.
Illustrator Claire Tardieux (who created the posters for the Paimpol In Rock editions) will be present with collector's posters and photographer Damien Journee will exhibit his photos.
For catering, there will also be beer Good Mood, cider from Bolée de Paimpol, wines from Cellier du Goëlo and specialties from Galette Paimpolaise.
Note that the date of the next summer PIR will be revealed to the public on December 28.
Saturday December 28 at La Sirène, Paimpol cultural center. Doors open at 6 p.m. Entries: €12 with a drink included. Pack at €20 for entry, a drink and a festival poster. Reservation on WEEZEVENT via the Instagram or Facebook pages of the Odélectric association or the PIR.
