Back in Parigny, ten years later, the Art and Trails exhibition was very well attended. It is therefore with all smiles that the organizing teams of the fifteenth edition of this ephemeral summer exhibition on hiking trails have closed it. The figures delight them. The 2024 season brought together 7,796 people: 5,389 in Parigny and 2,407 in Notre-Dame-du-Touchet compared to 6,958 in 2023 (3,831 in Buais-les-Monts (Manche) and 3,127 in Marcilly).
“A success”
This edition is the best in terms of overall attendance after the twelfth edition which took place in Savigny-le-Vieux and Le Mesnil-Ozenne and brought together 7,493 people.
develops Angélique Pays, stay advisor at the Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët tourist information office and the kingpin of the meeting. Attendance side municipal, this edition is also a success. 5,389 people converged on the Parigny hiking trail. In 2022, the commune of Saint-Brice-de-Landelles had reached 5,016 people.
Parigny proposed a five-kilometer route on municipal roads and the greenway. The trail was popular with hikers and to visitors, both the exhibition spaces and those of rest, the shaded areas, the dishes, including a little nugget at the place called Rimbourgère. The works have also meant that from year to year, we see that they are growing in size and quality. This year, in Parigny, we were spoiled with 52 works, some linked to the 80e anniversary of D-Day, others with the Olympic Games. We have only had positive feedback. Seeing attendance grow is encouraging,
rejoices Angélique Pays. It is also gratifying for Parigny, especially as it has accelerated the development planned for this part so that it is more accessible to the public.
