It’s his favorite song in more ways than one. Since entering the “Star Academy”, Ulysse dreamed of performing “U-Turn (Lili)”, the magnificent melancholy ballad of the duo AaRON, popularized by the soundtrack of the film I’m fine, don’t worry. It must be said that it is also the first name of his girlfriend! The Marseille rocker would have loved to perform it when the group came on set. Unfortunately for him, he was nominated that evening and it was with sadness that he watched Julie share a lovely moment of emotion with the musicians.
If the Swiss candidate has since been eliminated, Ulysse is still in the adventure. In the top 6 on Christmas Eve, the young man celebrated his 25th birthday at the start of the week. And the production gave him quite a gift since AaRON singer Simon Buret came to perform “U-Turn (Lili)” with him at the Château, his accomplice Olivier Coursier accompanying them on the piano. “You don’t know what it means“, admits Ulysses, on the verge of tears after this unexpected duo. “If I had come out of there and been asked if I had one regret, that would have been it. So I don’t have any anymore“, he adds. “That’s not why you’re going out!“, retorts Simon Buret, touched by the young candidate who has already been saved five times by viewers. Coincidence or not, “U-Turn (Lili)” returned to the top of the sales ranking this Thursday morning, 18 years after its exit.
