PORTRAIT – The 32-year-old former dancer will try for the second time to win the M6 talent show, he who is at the helm of the troupe he formed in 2018.
Since the beginning of this edition of “France has incredible talent”, the RB Dance Company seems to have a clear destiny. Barely there, she obtains the Golden Buzzer signed Karine Le Marchand and goes to the semi-final. But who is behind this troupe of dancers? The “RB” in RB Dance Company refers to the initials of Romain Rachline Borgeaux, dancer and founder of this company.
It was with the newspaper Le Parisien that the former dancer and current choreographer spoke about the path that led him to the final of “France has incredible talent”. After a difficult start to school, the man who had been passionate about tap dancing since he was nine years old joined a high school with flexible hours in Cannes. The young man then swapped the Côte d’Azur for New York, more precisely the Alvin Ailey modern dance school.

This American passion leads him to off-off-Broadway (the smallest venues in New York, Editor’s note.) where he played roles in successful musicals, as reported The Parisian . Singin’ in the rain, Cats, et Hairspray tired of it, Romain Rachline Borgeaud decided to return to France to found the ESPAS-Danse school in 2016 and the RB Dance Company in 2018. It was this atypical journey that inspired the number that earned the RB Dance Company its Golden Buzzer last November.
From Molières to Miss France
However, since then, Romain Rachline Borgeaud has taken off his tap shoes to concentrate on his talents as a choreographer. For this new passage in “France has incredible talent”, he chose to represent schoolchildren in full revolt against their abusive educators. Here, he works for the first time with children and adults together, without tap dancing, all to music that he composed himself. They hit the mark.
If the choreographer took the RB Dance Company to the final of “France has an incredible talent” twice, this is not the end of Romain Rochline Borgeaud’s track record. The young man’s talent was also put to the service of the musical Molière, of “Dancing with the Stars” in 2022 but also during the Miss France ceremony of the same year. The choreographer finally signs his own show Storiesperformed for the first time in 2020, the success of which has now taken it to London cinemas.
