After 18 years of absence, “Malcolm” returns to the delight of fans. The cult series will feature adult Malcolm and his daughter, present to celebrate the 40th wedding anniversary of Hal and Loïs. This return, led by creator Linwood Boomer, promises to remain faithful to the original spirit of the series.

The original actors return in “Malcolm”

Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek reprise their iconic roles as Malcolm, Hal and Lois. In a short video posted on Disney+ social networks, Muniz enthusiastically announces the return of the series: “Yes, I hear you, I’m coming!”. This announcement immediately sparked excitement among fans.

A cult series modernized for Disney+

The streaming platform has ordered four new episodes, directed by Linwood Boomer, also known for his role in “Little House on the Prairie”. “Malcolm in the Middle” redefined television comedy thanks to its single-camera production, an innovation at the time. Karey Burke, president of 20th Television, said, “Malcolm captured the essence of family life with chaos and tenderness.”
