Jacques left his mark during his participation in Koh-Lanta, The Cursed Tribe. If his journey on the island ended at the gates of the final, he nonetheless remains a talented artist, having previously graced the stage of the Miss France competition as a professional dancer.
Jacques, aged 38, is one of the notable figures of the 2024 edition of Koh-Lanta, The Cursed Tribe. Originally from Charente-Maritime, he is not only an adventurer, he is above all a seasoned professional dancer. He started dancing at the age of 5 before shining on prestigious stages such as Disney and Lido. His discipline and rigor helped him face the challenges of Koh Lanta. But his adventure came to an end during the legendary orientation test, after nearly five hours of fruitless searching. Exhausted, he recently confided to Tele-Leisure : “A relief. Obviously, the disappointment is there, but I was so physically and mentally exhausted that I wanted it to end. I was at the end.”
Jacques (Koh-Lanta, The Cursed Tribe) has already danced on the set of Miss France
Before conquering Paris, Jacques made his debut at Moulin Bleu, a cabaret located in Thiers, near Clermont-Ferrand. Hired at the age of 23, he stayed there for three years and learned the basics of his profession. In the podcast With or Without Sugarhe says: “The Moulin Bleu took me right away, it's a small provincial cabaret (…) I started dancing on stage, singing, doing the French cancan. I really learned everything there.” This experience was a turning point in his dancing career. The ex-adventurer confides: “I was very well paid (…) after three years, they wanted to keep me, even sign me a permanent contract. But after a while I said to myself : 'I have to go to Paris and start dancing…'”. Once arrived in the capital, Jacques multiplies the opportunities: “I did Disney, I danced for Miss France, I did my first contract at Lido which opened a lot of doors for me.”
“I arrived there to…“: Jacques explains why he participated Koh-Lanta, The Cursed Tribe
Jacques also spoke about his motivations for participating in Koh Lanta. He assumes that this adventure represents an important financial opportunity: “I arrived there to earn 100,000 euros because, even when we get good dancing contracts, I didn't earn enough money.“His main objective was to use this sum to buy an apartment.”Intermittent in entertainment all my life, we don't lend you money to buy, and then I say to myself: 'It's a wonderful contribution to buying an apartment' (…) Personally, it is one of my number one choices to want to participate in this adventure, I am doing Koh-Lanta to win 100,000 euros“, he assumed.
