Véronic Dicaire is impatient to meet her first students as a singing teacher of Star Academy.
The singer, who will star in the show Symphonic Leap this weekend with Benoît McGinnis, is already planning her course and setting up workshops that she will do with the new academicians.
“I love it at the end! I have already met two whom I went to surprise to tell them that they would participate in the first Sunday gala,” she said during an interview with the QMI Agency.

“I listened to them and watched them sing and I was already projecting what I wanted to do with them. I looked at how they stood and I was already finding things that we could work on together. “It’s stronger than me,” she said with passion.
The interpreter of Feel Happy intends to enrich his teachings by relying on his expertise, his experience and his great knowledge of voice to guide his new foals who will pass through the academy.
“My imitative side will perhaps allow me to popularize the voices of others through my own. Sometimes, imitating someone or caricaturing certain traits can help to understand where such and such a mechanism or placement comes from, and we understand more quickly after that,” underlined the new singing teacher.
«Star Academy, it is a very condensed and very quick course. I really intend to work with them in a very effective way. I know my tool so much that I think this knowledge will help me help others,” she continued, adding that she herself had taken singing lessons for more than 20 years.
Véronic Dicaire will host the Célébration gala for the third consecutive year, along with Sébastien Benoît and Gregory Charles, on January 12.
She will also star in the play Chicago this summer.
The 18 new aspiring academicians will be revealed on December 17 at the Videotron Center, during an exclusive event reserved for the winners of a competition launched by the production of the show.
The new edition of Star Academy will be officially launched on Sunday January 19, on TVA, on the occasion of the first variety of the season.
