Orange announces to its subscribers the discontinuation of five channels in the Famille by CANAL bouquet from the end of the year. These are the Disney group channels.
The agreements between Disney and CANAL+ have ended. The American group's channels as well as the Disney+ platform will no longer be included in the encrypted channel's offers, but this also goes a little further.
A bouquet that is gradually diminishing
In fact, the agreements between the two parties also concerned the packages offered to operators, such as Orange's Famille by CANAL package, who will therefore find themselves without these channels.
The historic operator sent an email to subscribers of this bouquet which was offered for 5 euros per month to inform them that the National Geographic, National Geographic Wild, Disney Channel, Disney Channel +1 and Disney Junior channels would disappear from their bouquet on December 31.
The price remains unchanged for historical subscribers to this bouquet and it remains at 5 euros per month for those who were able to benefit from this price. Orange indicates that it is possible to unsubscribe but it will no longer be possible to subscribe again afterwards, this bouquet having been completely stopped.
Orange ceased marketing the Famille Fiber bouquet previously known as Famille by CANAL in September 2020. And six channels had already been removed from this bouquet in 2022 which is gradually diminishing.
For information, here are the channels that will be offered in the bouquet from January 1, 2025:
