In TPMP, Géraldine Maillet most of the time shows her loyalty to Cyril Hanouna. But it also happens from time to time to have to very violently confront the troublemaker of the PAF. On September 18, for example, she criticized him for being “aggressive and mean”. The person concerned had of course defended himself by going up a notch in aggression and nastiness.

The sequence had the merit of showing that the columnist (also) knew how to defend herself. Invited by David Barbet on the show Censuré, she expressed the same frankness. The journalist asked her about her relationship with age.
“Are you afraid of getting old? » he asked.

Géraldine Maillet addresses her fear of old age

“Well, everyone is afraid of getting old! » replied the 52-year-old novelist, director and screenwriter in a tone of evidence. “Well, it depends! » the journalist retorted straight away. “It depends, you’re saying that because you’re thirty years old, you’re completely above ground!” » she replied. “No, because I’m already afraid of growing old at thirty” continued David Barbet. “Ah, well that’s something else, it’s because you’re completely neurotic, then! » said the guest with humor.

This question from the journalist followed a question asked in his book My Tinypublished by Harper Collins: “And how would I end up? »

“It redistributes the cards…”

A question that Géraldine Maillet said she asked herself while visiting her 92-year-old grandmother in a nursing home. In this place, she met a number of elderly people. She wondered about their respective backgrounds, wondering in particular if they were “talkative, if they had panache, if they were talented, if they were leaders”she quoted.

Further in the interview, Géraldine Maillet returned with emotion to the death of this 92-year-old grandmother. “Actually, I think it redistributes the cards, and I think yes, for me, it was a particle accelerator. Experiencing drama like that makes you age maturely, it makes you age prematurely. The body and mind age because it is a shock, even if 92 years is in the order of things,”
she confided about this mourning which still remains in her memory.
