The emotion was palpable on the Studio 217 set when a phone rang in the middle of the show. On the other end of the phone, Harula Aliagas appears by videoconference: “I tried to get on the phone with you, you didn’t answer me,” she says to her stunned son. A few moments later, it is in the flesh that she enters the stage, escorted by two dancers, leaving Nikos, who was the victim of a break-in attempt, speechless.

The reason for this appearance? A clothing detail that seems to upset the host's mother. “Why don’t you wear your ties in the middle of a show anymore?”she lectures her 55-year-old son in front of the cameras. “Your father is not happy to see you where he is,” she adds with emotion, referring to Nikos' father, who died seven years ago. “You can't present a prime time show on TF1 without a tie.” she insists, ties in hand.
