The France 2 police series Criminal Tropics still enjoying great success. Carried by Sonia Rolland and Béatrice de la Boulaye, the fiction will indeed have a season 6, currently being filmed in 2024.
The fifth season of Criminal Tropics ended with art and style in front of many viewers, Friday June 7, 2024 on France 2. Beyond a new criminal investigation resolved after the death of a young zouk singer, this last intrigue left our two heroines – Mélissa Sainte-Rose (Sonia Rolland) and Gaëlle Crivelli (Béatrice de la Boulaye) – in a beautiful romantic situation. The first found happiness in the arms of Arnaud (Guillaume Gabriel), while the second let herself be tempted by an old adventure. Criminal Tropics : season 6 is currently in filming
The sixth season of Criminal Tropics has been filming since March 2024. At the end of last May, the first four episodes of the season were in the can and the team moved on to filming the other four immediately. As for the broadcast, it could be done on the public channel on Friday evenings in May 2025, like the two previous seasons of the detective series.

The last episode of season 5 of Criminal Tropicstitled Little Cove, attracted 3.6 million viewers for an audience share of 20.4%. Women of character, Mélissa and Gaëlle will have their work cut out to carry out new investigations in the heart of Martinique in each episode of the season. In terms of love life, the two protagonists will also have plenty to keep them busy! Sonia Rolland explained to us that “Mélissa’s relationship with Arnaud is confirmed in season 6 but it is never very simple with her. In her private life, she is never sure of anything.“Mélissa will therefore ask herself some questions about her romantic future, but will Arnaud manage to reassure her by providing her with answers? As for the romance between Gaëlle and Aurélien, “it will be experienced. They will explore this open door. There is an external element which will come to question Gaëlle and Aurélien in their relationship. This will redistribute certain cards and certain desires for the future“, Julien Béramis told us. And added: “Aurélien will also be present in an emergency situation to get a character out of a bad situation.“
Where is the series filmed? Criminal Tropics ?
The France 2 police series, launched in 2019, is filmed in Martinique for an average of four months. Le Diamant, Grande Anse, Les Salines, Le Lamentin… each episode of each season bears the name of a town or locality in the Martinique landscape. The police station is a natural setting located in buildings in the town of Marin. It is a former school for boys rehabilitated by the film crews. This is where the main police sequences are filmed.
