Hippocrates : “The series takes up space in my artistic and personal life”director and screenwriter Thomas Lilti questioned the need to make a 3rd season
After the 2nd season, Thomas Lilti was a little evasive about the 3rd. On the one hand, he felt that there were still stories to tell with his characters and, on the other, he argued that he needed to explore other narrative regions. In this year 2024, the one who directed the film in the meantime A serious job expressed himself about this parenthesis: “I have been working on this series since 2015, writing it and directing it. You can imagine that it takes up space in my artistic and even personal life. It is very important to me. You know, I am a doctor by training and I continued to practice, especially during COVID. This series is perhaps my way of still doing medicine. a question I asked myself a lot. Was it necessary to continue? There are two main artistic motivations: to continue to bring the characters to life and to have something to tell.”
Hippocrates : Why did we have to wait 3 years for the 3rd season of the excellent medical series? Its creator Thomas Lilti responds!
Three years and counting, that's how long fans had to wait before discovering the new episodes. A particularly important delay that the author and director of the series, ex-doctor Thomas Lilti, clearly justified: “This time is my time. I would like to go faster. I know that there is a wait. But you also have to have something to tell, quite simply. I put a little time to find what I wanted to say through this season, to find what needed to be told. That explains the time it took.” But let the fans rest assured. This three-year wait was finally worth it: this third one is as remarkable as the previous ones!
