A long tunnel of pleasure: “The Great Escape”
Have you seen it six times already? That’s what the classics are for. Everyone has their favorite character or actor in this saga about prisoners who want to play the air girl. My favorite is James Coburn, giant of phlegm.
At 9 p.m. on Arte. Film directed by John Sturges (USA, 1963). With Steve McQueen. Rebroadcast.

Hero in spite of himself: “Zelensky”
From actor in a crazy series to real head of a state at war, Zelensky’s journey is, as we know, astonishing. For once, it is the person himself who comments on it, in addition to his close guard and various relatives. An empathetic portrait without being hagiographic.
At 9:05 p.m. on France 5. Documentary by Michael Waldman and Louis Lee Ray (GB/France, 2024). Unpublished.
