In 2022, Simon Boulerice gave us the gift of his series Chouchou, the story of a forbidden relationship between a professor and her student, which starred Évelyne Brochu and Lévi Doré. It is therefore with undisguised happiness that we welcome the news of a new television project for this author whom we adore.
However, you will have to be patient before discovering this proposal, which will see the light of day in winter 2026 on TV5Unis. Filming began this week, with director Éric Piccoli (I would like someone to erase me).
In Infiltrate into your life, Simon Boulerice draws inspiration from a surprising part of his life to tell us about an atypical and intriguing friendship. The main roles will be played by Félix-Antoine Bénard and Anthony Therrien. We could see the latter in the touching series Les bracelets rouge. For his part, Félix-Antoine Bénard is a finalist at the next Gala Quebec Cinema in the category Best Male Performance Leading Role for the film Humanist Vampire Seeks Consenting Suicide and as Revelation of the Year.
The story goes as follows: Gaspard, a secondary 5 student, feels out of place in his small town where his artistic temperament is ignored in favor of sporting prowess. After revealing his homosexuality, he experienced more indifference than homophobia. He suffers from loneliness and his breakup with his secret lover, Mathieu. When a new student, Dave, arrives in his class, Gaspard feels an immediate connection with him. However, Gaspard discovers that Dave is actually Thomas, a police officer who has infiltrated his school to dismantle a network of drug traffickers. Eager to maintain his bond with Thomas, Gaspard gets involved in dangerous activities.
Simon Boulerice indicates: “ One day, when I was 16, I tried to befriend a new student at my school, who was actually – unbeknownst to me – an undercover agent trying to find out who was selling drugs at my school secondary. Twenty-five years later, I take my revenge; I manage to infiltrate the life of this police officer who didn’t want my friendship. »
The author will also play a role himself, in the company of actors Josée Deschênes, Matai Stevens, Marilou Forgues, Diego Sanchez and Marie-Evelyne Lessard.
This series of 8 24-minute episodes, produced by Zone 3, will be available on TV5Unis in winter 2026.
