Launched with fanfare on October 11, 2024, the animated series Dragon Ball DAIMA just revealed a whole new way to merge. We tell you more!
Dragon Ball DAIMA: a new way to merge
Since October 11, 2024, fans of Dragon Ball discover a new episode of Dragon Ball DAIMAthe last animated series Akira Toriyama worked on before his tragic passing, produced to celebrate 40 years since the manga's pre-publication in the Weekly Shōnen Jump. In this new series, Son Goku and the Z Warriors were transformed into six-year-old children by Shenron at the request of Gomah, the new king of the Demon World. Accompanied by Kaioshin and a mysterious character called Glorio, Son Goku goes to this new world.
Full of humor and action, Dragon Ball DAIMA is a nice return to the roots for the license. We find there the taste for adventure which was the characteristic of the beginnings of Dragon Ballthen Dragon Ball GT. The series also benefits from excellent animation, which makes us forget the small inconsistencies that we can find here and there throughout the episodes.. Above all, ALWAYS expands the universe of Dragon Ball and reveals the origins of the Nameks and the name of Kaioshin's species.
In episode 4, broadcast on Friday, November 1 on DNA and Crunchyroll, Son Goku, Kaioshin and their enigmatic guide go to a shop in the Demon World in search of a new spaceship. The affable saleswoman presents her flagship products, the medicopters. These are insects to swallow, and which allow you to regain your energy (the resuroptera) or even to merge (the agregoptera). For this last type of medicocopter, it is enough to share half of an aggregopter with an accomplice.
To date, there were two fusion techniques: fusion dance and potalas. Considering the fact that Glorio purchased several types of medicopters at the request of Son Goku, we should discover their multiple uses throughout the episodes of Dragon Ball DAIMA. We're curious what mergers the series will introduce. We can't wait!
