The most excited chefs on the small screen are back on June 27. Before the third season of The Bear, the FX channel broadcasts a first trailer, under high tension.

Adrenaline, shouting matches and magnificent close-ups of dishes… the recipe for The Bearthe series behind the scenes of a restaurant in Chicago, remains the same for season 3, broadcast from June 27 on Disney +.

The first images of this third season once again show the agitation reigning in the kitchens of the establishment that Carmy’s (Jeremy Allen White) team has just opened. A great example of “dysfunctional cooking”, in Sydney’s words.

Intense preparation

The first season recounted the tribulations of Carmen Berzatto, a young culinary genius, who decided against all odds to take over her brother’s debt-ridden establishment after his death.

The second season, less hectic, but just as exciting, showed how each member of the team around Carmy – Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richard (Ebon Moss Bachrach), Natalie (Abby Elliott), Marcus (Lionel Boyce), Tina (Liza Colon-Zayas) – was trained with a view to transforming the restaurant into an establishment of haute cuisine.

This third season should focus more on the cuisine itself and return to the spirit of the first.

At least that’s what Jeremy Allen White indicated in an interview with Variety last January, discussing his intense preparation for the kitchen scenes.

“We all prepared a lot before the first season. I went to culinary school and spent a lot of time in restaurants. Then for the second season it was mostly about setting up the restaurant , and so there wasn’t a lot of cooking. But now, in the third season, I think we’re going to get back to that working kitchen atmosphere that we had in the first.”

Critically acclaimed, The Bear won 10 awards at the 2023 Emmy Awards. Jeremy Allen White, who plays Carmy, won a Golden Globe, the American Actors Union Award and a Critics Choice for Best Actor for his role.
