Tomorrow Belongs to Us: Summary of the episode of October 18, 2024

Joël’s first family dinner

At high school, François meets Mélody and tells her that she can be proud of Bastien. He explains to her that his son had to replace a friend at the last minute for a presentation. Then, François points out to Mélody that Bastien looks like him, because he is also a beautiful person. Mélody confides to him that they are getting to know each other better, but that they have not yet had any real one-on-one time. She adds that she hesitates to propose to him, because she doesn’t feel legitimate and doesn’t want to put pressure on him. François points out to him that Bastien seems to want to make room for him in his life. Then, Mélody changes the subject and questions François about his relationship with Adam since Amel left. François responds that the situation at home remains tense. Adam is constantly in a bad mood and, not being used to this attitude, he doesn’t know how to handle the situation. A little later, Mélody approaches Bastien to congratulate him on his presentation, then suggests that they go for a drink at Spoon at the end of the day. Bastien accepts.

At the Spoon, Mona introduces Joël to Mélody and Bastien then asks them to stay for dinner. Georges and Lucien join them. During this first meal with Mona’s family, Joël talks about his past. Her mother was very different from Mona: she was not very happy or generous and was often angry. Then, Joël apologizes for ruining the atmosphere. After the meal, Bastien takes leave of Mélody by kissing her on the cheek. Georges joins his partner and tells her that he has never seen her so happy. Then, he makes sure that she is not angry with him, because he is going to go on vacation for a few days with Lucien. Mélody reassures him about this and then asks him what he thinks of Joël. “I don’t feel it” replies Georges who then denies being jealous of him.

Camille makes a decision

At the Spoon, Simon gives Camille a magnificent ring, but the young woman considers this gift excessive, given that their relationship is going through a difficult period. Simon replies that all that matters is that they love each other, then he slips the ring on Camille’s finger. Then, he suggests that she spend the night in a charming Airbnb that they had stayed in at the beginning of their story. The young woman accepts without much conviction.

A little later, Camille shows the ring to Raphaëlle and Maud. The latter asks her sister if Simon asked her to marry him. Camille reacted strongly. Then, she then confides to them that Simon is more in love than her, which makes her uncomfortable. Plus, she thinks her mother and sister were right about their age difference. Raphaëlle advises her daughter to tell Simon how she feels. Camille replies that she doesn’t want to hurt him. Maud agrees with their mother. In the evening, Simon suggests that Camille go to Venice for All Saints’ Day. As his electronic bracelet will soon be removed, this would be an opportunity to celebrate this event. Camille takes her courage in both hands and tells Simon that she feels the need to take a break from their relationship. She points out that he seems more attached than her and that she is not able to give him what he wants. Just the fact that he’s so nice puts pressure on him. Simon realizes that Camille’s decision has been made and that it’s not a simple break she wants. Camille gives him back his ring and tells him she is sorry.

Who is Rayane’s father?

Rayane spent the night at the Roussels’ house thinking about her father’s medical results. The analyzes revealing that Malik was sterile date back five years. At that time, Malik had sent him to a boarding school and made Romy go through a real ordeal, even more than before. Rayane concludes that Malik therefore knew the identity of his real biological father. Plus, he thinks it’s Tomer. He was often present at his home during his childhood, reappears in his life precisely when he inherits his father’s belongings, and steals them as if he and Romy wanted to hide their contents.

Shortly after, Romy receives a message from Rayane in which he writes to her that he is aware of Malik’s sterility. She turned pale. Karim takes the phone from Romy, reads the message in turn and remains stunned. A few minutes later, Rayane goes to Karim’s house and confronts his mother. He asks Romy if Tomer is his father. Romy denies it and tells him that her father is Malik. Rayane loses her temper, because even with the results of the analyzes in front of her, she continues to lie. Romy tries to make him believe that the analyzes are false. After Rayane’s departure, Karim confronts Romy and asks him if Tomer is Rayane’s father. He is convinced that there must be something between them, because he almost got 5 years in prison because of her. “Think what you want,” Romy replies before adding: “Come on, let’s not ruin everything and we’ll try to be happy, please.”

Rayane finds Jack and tells him about her discussion with Romy. Jack feels that his boyfriend can’t stay in limbo and an idea crosses his mind. They follow Tomer to the Little Spoon, but the latter saw them and beckoned them to come. He then apologizes to Jack for violently shoving him the other day and then assures them that he regrets what he did. Jack takes the opportunity to steal a toothpick from Tomer. Then, he phones Damien to ask him for a favor. Romy, for her part, goes to Malik’s grave and declares to her late husband, among other things: “You always had to ruin everything anyway. And even when dead, you continue. Except today, it’s not me you’re punishing. It’s my son, it’s Rayane that you’re hurting (…). And you know what, he’ll get over it because he’s strong, my son. »

In the evening, Damien returns home. At Jack’s request, he did an out-of-procedure DNA analysis and he asks Rayane and her stepson to remain discreet, because he could get into trouble. Then, Damien gives the result to Rayane. Tomer is not his father. “But then, who is my father? » asks Rayane.
