The Ouest-France group announced on Wednesday the hiring of the former director of RMC’s radio and television channels, Guénaëlle Troly, to take the helm of OFTV, its television channel launched in 2025. “Guénaëlle Troly joins Ouest-France to take over as general manager of the new national and generalist TNT channel,” the media group said in a press release.
Ouest-France, publisher of the paid daily newspaper with the highest circulation in France, has obtained a digital terrestrial television (DTT) frequency to broadcast no later than September 2025. OFTV, a “generalist, national and free channel”, will have the particularity to be the only TNT with its headquarters outside the Paris region, in Rennes.
Ms. Troly was, within the Altice group, general manager of the RMC division (RMC Story, RMC Découverte, RMC Production, RMC), from 2012 to 2021. Then in 2022 and 2023, she became operational general director of the TV division of NRJ Group, which for its part will lose its TNT frequency.
“His solid experience and his background, already rich in the creation of national channels, are the best assets to guarantee the success of our project,” commented the chairman of the board of Ouest-France, François-Xavier Lefranc, quoted in a press release.
She participated in the hearing process before the audiovisual regulator, Arcom, to reallocate 14 DTT frequencies. She had in fact intervened, on July 15, as a consultant for the benefit of the L’Express group, whose application was not accepted.
