It’s validated, TF1, M6, BFM and others will be much more highlighted on the interfaces of your boxes, Smart TVs…

Arcom announces today that it has definitively adopted two major deliberations concerning the visibility of audiovisual services on connected screens. Thus, DTT channels will soon benefit from promotion on operators’ boxes, but not only that.

A step forward for the TNT channels. After having all obtained the title of “service of general interest” at the start of the year, issued by Arcom, they will thus be able to benefit from significant highlighting on our screens, whatever they may be.

Indeed, on September 26, 2024, two deliberations were adopted so that a focus is applied to all interfaces crossing the thresholds set by the decree of December 7, 2022 which offer their users access to the offer audiovisual, including those whose place of establishment is located in a country other than .

A response from the audiovisual regulator to the “increasing difficulty“viewers”to access easily and quickly the services and audiovisual programs with which they are familiar” on Smart TVs and other connected decoders.

A list has been drawn up and it includes all operator boxes, Samsung televisions (TIZEN), LG (Web OS), TCL (Android TV or Google TV), Hisense (VIDAA U), Philips (Android TV or Google TV) but also to game consoles, on Amazon Prime, MyCanal, Apple TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV Stick… Arcom will also support the implementation of appropriate visibility measures, also monitoring their compliance.

The France Télévisions, TF1, M6 and RMC BFM groups have already communicated their enthusiasm at this news, affirming that “these deliberations recognize the leading role of the offering of public and private DTT channels for the pluralism of information, currents of expression and cultural diversity in France“.
