They are both from the region, they are both lovers of words, they are both authors of children’s books. Marie-Cécile Dardenne and Béatrice Libert are the guests of the Huy cultural center, this Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m., for a special children’s literature edition. This literature which has the particularity of addressing a double readership: to children, of course, but also to adults who will buy or borrow these books from them and who read them aloud to the children.
Writing for children is a particular challenge. How do we write for them? What story and with what vocabulary? So many questions that the two authors will answer. Marie-Cécile Dardenne is a nursery teacher, she works in Villers-le-Bouillet. After having participated in several collections of stories, she has just published her first album: The Night Watch. Amaytoise Béatrice Libert was a French and theater teacher. She is the author of poems, stories, short stories, essays, artists’ books. She has published around ten books for young people and created the Carré d’as collection.
The meeting with these two authors is free and will be hosted by Justine Montagner, facilitator at the cultural center.
