Many relatives, friends as well as VIPs including ministers, MPs and politicians and VIPs including Bank of Mauritius Governor, Harvesh Seegoolam, Police Commissioner, Anil Kumar Dip visited the home of the late Sir Kailash Ramdanee at Corner Guyo Pasco and Queen Mary Street, Floréal, this morning to pay his last respects.
Sir Kailash Ramdanee, the father of Kobita Jugnauth, wife of the Prime Minister, died following a long illness, on the night of Monday August 21, at the age of 96.
Sir Kailash Ramdanee was known in the business world. He had founded the company Mauritius Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Co. Ltd. He also launched the Mauritius Diabetes Association in 1981. In 2016, the International Diabetes Federation rewarded him for his commitment to raising awareness and preventing this disease.
The funeral convoy will leave its residence in Floréal this Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. to go to the Phoenix crematory. Below are some photos.
