Cannes wins the price “Seller or Agorastore”

Since 2014, the town hall has been actively committed to the development of the circular economy through re -use and recycling. She puts her reformed movable property for sale in order to offer them a second life and make them useful to individuals, associations, professionals or other communities. A wide variety of items is offered: household appliances, computer and multimedia equipment, school furniture, haberdashery, sports equipment, music instruments, books, decorative items, vehicles or nautical equipment.

Based on the Agorastore platform, the town hall of Cannes provides a quick, transparent and traceable sale of its property. This approach aims at two main objectives: preserving the environment through sustainable and responsible management of resources, and generating additional revenues.

“The town hall of Cannes works with ingenuity to give a second life to its goods and materials, such as the stone bench of the reception hall of the town hall annex La Ferrage or former video monitors very popular with a new generation of gamers. The circular economy is a way of creating new revenues, for taxpayers, and constitutes a concrete lever to preserve the environment by fighting against the waste of resources and the production of waste. »»
David Lisnard, mayor of Cannes

In 2024, these sales raised 85,025 euros, bringing the total to 591,401 euros over the period 2019-2024.
