“Unfortunately, three people died,” lamented President Volodymyr Zelensky. The previous report published by the regional administration reported two people killed.
The attack devastated a house in the town of Brovary, east of Kyiv, killing a couple, the State Emergency Service (DSNS) said.
The body of the third victim, a man, was discovered in a residential building, a section of which was heavily damaged by fragments from a drone in the locality of Glevakha, southwest of the capital, according to the same source.
The DSNS published images of a nine-story building in flames and dozens of rescuers working at the site.
President Zelensky denounced the laxity of his allies regarding deliveries to Russia of components for drones and missiles, which continue despite Western sanctions.
Russia would not have been able to fight the war if the ability of Russian accomplices to contribute to this terror had been truly limited.

For its part, the Russian Defense Ministry said Friday that it had shot down 120 Ukrainian drones overnight over 12 of its regions, including Moscow, one of the largest attacks of this type against its territory since the start of the conflict.
The ministry said in a statement that air defense forces “intercepted and destroyed” 120 drones, most of them over Russian regions close to Ukraine’s borders but also as far as the capital Moscow, as well as 121e in Crimea, a Ukrainian peninsula annexed by Moscow in 2014.
“Air defense forces of the Defense Ministry in the urban districts of Kolomna and Ramenskoe repelled an attack by drones flying in the direction of Moscow,” Sergei Sobyanin, mayor of the Russian capital, said on Telegram early Friday.
Russian media reported damage in several regions.
Already on Thursday, Russian missile, aerial bomb and drone strikes in Ukraine left at least three dead and more than 50 injured in three regions of Ukraine.
The Russian army has intensified its strikes on southern Ukraine in recent months and continues its offensive on the Eastern Front, in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, where the Ukrainian authorities ordered the evacuation of children and their families from several localities.
As the Russian invasion of Ukraine is due to enter its fourth year at the end of February, both camps have recently strived to maximize their positions in view of US President Donald Trump’s return to power.
Before his inauguration, Donald Trump pledged to end the war in Ukraine immediately after taking office.
