At the helm of a criminal court, truth often becomes a relative concept. Twisted by the years of imprisonment incurred, what people will say or the real or supposed fear of reprisals. This Thursday, the jurors of the Isère Assize Court heard three truths for as many accused. Three truths for one night and one death. That of Abdelkader Lazreg, nicknamed “Dadico” or “Dadec”, killed at the age of 22 with a bullet in the chest in Jean-Verlhac Park in the Villeneuve district of on the night of July 8 to 9, 2020.

“The story begins in 2018,” recalls Yan Pluvinage, accused of having killed Abdelkader Lazreg. That year, the gendarmes brought down the drug sales network in the Îles de Mars district, in Pont-de-Claix. Icham Meziane, suspected of being the organizer, is placed in pre-trial detention. “They thought I had swung.
