Adobe Premiere Pro users can now search for videos by describing their content.
Adobe has released a quality of life update to Premiere Pro, After Effects and Frame.io called Media Intelligence. These include AI-driven visual recognition, which allows users to search for videos by text, and a translation function for subtitles. Last year, AI-driven audio features were added to the editing app.
What’s new ?
Premiere Pro users can now enter search terms like “person walking in the forest” to find clips in their library. According to Adobe, Media Intelligence can recognize “objects, locations, camera angles and more.” It can also look through all the metadata of video files to identify dates or locations of recording.
Premiere Pro also has a translation feature for video subtitles in over 17 languages. Users will be able to open multiple subtitle tracks simultaneously, making them easier to view and edit. These features are available today in Premiere Pro Beta, which anyone with a Creative Cloud or Premiere Pro subscription can start using.
-Adobe After Effects supports HDR tracking and benefits from a new caching system to process and read large files faster. Images are not only stored in system memory, but the new update allows After Effects to tap into RAM and disk cache. Performance is improved.
Finally, the Canon C80 and C400 cameras can be used with Frame.io’s Camera to Cloud integration. This allows files to be uploaded to the Frame.io app directly from the camera.
