The morning of Tuesday January 21, 2025and fire touched a Pecquencourt house (North). Shortly before 7 a.m., the fire started in the living room and quickly spread throughout the home. A mother was injured in the disaster, the family was rehoused. To help them through this ordeal, the town hall launched a call for donations.

A “great glow” in the living room

The Northern firefighters were called to intervene in Pecquencourt for a fire, this Tuesday at 6:55 a.m. Residents of this house described a “great glow in the living room.” The fire, probably accidental, started from pellet stove. “The fire quickly engulfed the house,” reports a judicial source.

A couple and a 10 month old child in the house

Fortunately, the residents, a couple made up of a man and a woman, a 10-month-old child and their pets were able to get out in time. The mother suffered second-degree burns on her face and forearm, the same source indicates. news.

The police and the mayor of the town were present on site. Technical services made it possible to secure the area. The road was closed until 10 a.m., it is specified. The surrounding homes were not affected.

A call for donations launched by the town hall

To help this couple and their little daughter, the City launched an appeal for donations. “Each contribution can help them find a more peaceful life,” writes the municipality in its appeal. The City calls for giving:

To collect donations, an on-call service is available at the school canteen, avenue Barrois from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Thursday 23, Friday 24, Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 January.
