Since the death of her daughter in the summer of 2020, Sandrine P. has persisted in denying the evidence. But this time, reality caught up with her. For the first time in almost five years, she admitted the unspeakable.
– Madam, do you recognize the usual violence against your daughter, between 2014 and 2020?the president of the court asks.

Sandrine P., a 54-year-old Franco-Portuguese woman, is accused of having, during confinement, imposed months of ordeal on her daughter, combining deprivation of food, violence and humiliation. Amandine’s lifeless body was found on August 6, 2020. Measuring 1.55 m, she weighed only 28 kg. She is judged alongside her companion, accused of having let the unthinkable be known without reacting. She faces life imprisonment, he faces thirty years in prison. The verdict is expected on Friday.
