Davos, followed by Fable of the Davosian Primates

Prologue

They have a good time at the “select” World Economic Forum in Davos, made possible thanks to funding from 1,000 member companies who each pay an annual membership fee of around $50,000. The 41st edition will take place from January 20 to 24, 2025 and unofficial sources marked with a cryptic to the presidency of the United States of America would have the firm intention after Canada, the Panama Canal and Greenland to acquire the Alps Swiss! Nothing less in the name of the MAGA doctrine – an empty formula usurped by the libertarian and simpleton Ronald Reagan – and many already suspect the “Yellow Shadow” of his private banker and pocket “Musketeer” looming behind these Magas transactions using Mar- a-Lago.

Chapter I

During this pompous private gala, these heads of state, these plutocrats and these industrial and financial magnates put on a show like mischievous boasting chameleons who think they are peacocks and color themselves or discolor the socio-economic-political mane and twist it according to trends. Then, in the light of market indices and at the dawn of the moods of the times, they like to play the budding Sherlock Holmes – not always green – by sniffing out intoxicating business opportunities with the smell of silicone. So, we happily waddle our butts simulating the rain dance – is this cultural appropriation? – hoping to make juicy deals fall from the sky. We place fair-weather delivery orders on Amazon to launder reputations and greenwash businesses while comfortably straddling a narrow vision of society. All these little people take the opportunity to look at each other, puff out their chests oiled with arrogance and pumped up with the steroids of inanity with their swarthy complexion of carelessness. This, while sporting a broad Joker smile hidden under the guise of a Mona Lisa and behaving like vultures with sharp claws and always on the lookout to make fruitful money passes and solidly perched on the pinnacle of the Swiss Alps sprinkled with white sugar at ice – but that by dint of melting will soon disappear and Elon Musk’s money with it –. These guests toast in chorus with their frozen cocktails of coldness and their sparkling bubbles swollen with conceit and just like the penguins of the Arctic strutting freshly bundled up in their smokey evening tuxedo – graciously made in Xinjiang in China by of the Uyghurs – starched to vanity and pressed to pants. These pseudo-elites, members of a coterie of privileged cheaters, delight in shuffling the pieces of the global chessboard and whipping up winds of uncertainty, making their piggy banks clink and daydreaming about their numbered, padlocked magos and escaped – Shh! – in parafiscia islands and while telling each other chimerical tales and counting their “actions”. They even push bigotry and mummery to the point of constructing and imposing social policies and prescribing economic diktats by unscrupulously supplanting the legitimate demands of citizens and ignoring their wishes and their real needs. They think of the countries that they still have to plunder as well as the “barbarian” tribes to rob of their tributes, but all the same of straightening out the prospects of these poor nations in order to better “evangelize” them. These robbers of meaning and scalpers of destiny, frantically thirsty for power and hungry for wealth, imagine themselves symbolizing the living incarnation of the neo-conquistadors of today, rushing at full speed with their SUVs on the paths of unbridled growth of fluctuating markets in the goal of ruling the world and saving capitalism from climato-military-socio-politico-economic disasters, but for which they are often responsible.

Chapter II

However, once their indecent and petulant little annual private party is over and to make up for it – we wonder what? –, these pseudo-elites decide to start playing benevolent practitioners of fortune. Thus, they try to come to the aid of the cost of a certain Madame l’Économie to cure her overwhelming debts – pure products of a system corrupted to the bone of deception and the flesh of ignominy – who will have to inherit and share the poor automatons dismayed and clustered at the bottom of the summit. To do this, by grabbing the straps of the straitjacket of the needy lady lacking liquidity and tormented by financial audits, exasperated by the incessant whining of the poor bankers and overwhelmed by the discounts, we will escort her arm in arm below to a spacious private hospital suite. The “poor lady”, even if she had tried in vain to conceal everything, we will then learn with the publication of her confidential health bulletin issued by the BMMPR (World Medical Bank of the Not Rich) that she seriously fell on the floor of the indices, broke his purse strings, damaged his check stubs and suffered from a deep depression aggravated by a nagging galloping inflationary fatigue whose signs and effects are similar to those of Wehan’s Covid. A virus often referred to as “common good or social policies” and whose deleterious symptoms are linked to the search for freedom and justice, i.e. solidarity, redistribution and the reduction of inequalities. This pandemic virus episodically infects the immune system of markets congested with instability and full of speculative bubbles. But thanks to her “buona fortuna”, Madame E. is kept far from the restraint stretchers parked pell-mell – rather here and there, according to a corrective memo from the World Health Organization (WHO), Agence Santé Québec division , transmitted by belinograph – in the busy corridors of emergency rooms suffering from privative degenerative paralysis caused by pathological disorders of the central nervous system in poor condition and repeated lobotomies of structures.

Chapter III

Thus, private specialists, trained and generously paid with public funds and above all very obliging, are feverishly waiting for him with a deficit budget defibrillator. To then give him an emergency financial colonoscopy followed by a transfusion of liquidity into his banking veins, heal his stock market investments and administer a good old mixture rectally. We are talking here about a delicate and trying implementation of a strategic rescue plan. Ouch! – Ask Argentina and Greece, they have been there and they are still feeling the serious after-effects. Soon it will be the turn of Ukraine, Lebanon, the Gaza Strip and perhaps Syria and Sudan. This is a unique specimen of an expensive and cutting suppository with toxic side effects for public services. Or a privileged treatment specially concocted by the good care of the collogue uncle IMF (International Monetary Fund) in order to relieve its cancerous public debt and eliminate as quickly as possible its atrocious galloping inflationary metastases. Finally, in order to complete his compulsory electroshock treatment, he will be gradually administered, with or without his consent, a beneficial epidural infiltration in the collective facilities as well as in certain kept confidential parts of his fragile socio-economic anatomy. This shock treatment will be followed by an inevitable and painful, but saving drain on the social protection systems in order to avoid the resurgence of a deficit and maintain the obligatory triple AAA rating to remain well regarded by the stock and bond markets and rating agencies – the same ones responsible for the Suprime crisis of 2008 which dragged millions of households into the twists and turns of despair and the depths of poverty –. That’s it, that’s the quintessence of the benevolence of capitalism: either to be kindly but firmly at the same time about the distribution of debts and deficits between the working classes and to be gaping with admiration and gratitude in front of the all-powerful shareholder base – Hallelujah! –, the stock markets and the banks because together they create wealth and amass big profit bubbles for the future – the future of Who? –. Following this diligent and essential therapy, poor Mrs. E. will still be very happy to have been able to save her economy suffering from problems of intestinal bloating to her GDP and chronic recessionitis, to retain part of “her » riches and to be well again, at least in appearance – but for how much longer? –. However, this Mrs. E. is aware that she still placed herself under the primary obligation to borrow large amounts of capital at high rates in order to be able to repay her delicate and expensive rescue operation.

Chapter IV

Alas! Chase away the natural, it immediately comes back at a gallop… Thus, following a bureaucratic, libertarian and above all electoralist management of public funds and the careless allocation of enormous subsidies and ill-advised investments, the Austerity Empress, – Sis si, herself – reappears in the setting and forces Madame E. to act firmly and nimbly. The poor thrifty Chef will therefore once again have the thankless task of urging, with great ultimatum-like supplications, her lazy automatons to subscribe more to the education of their children as well as to the financing of public school networks – and well heard private -, to stop unnecessarily cluttering emergency rooms and overloading government services, wiping up and caging their complainers at home in their little 4½ at a high price seniors, pay more taxes and postpone their small pensions, which are expensive for the system. And above all, to kindly have their crude demands whitewashed and to clear their brains of the unfounded whining of said civil society and to toil a little harder in order to increase their production and repay “their” debt as much as possible. public by thus replenishing the depleted coffers of the Honorable Mr. State, all decrepit and obsessed with the unhealthy achievement of a zero deficit. Otherwise, a certain wall could collapse if the system crashes again causing a 2.0 crash and poor Mrs. E. could then plunge into a new tragedy with muddy waters bringing with it the rout of the poor rich and the vulnerable banks on the road to bankruptcy. It would also impact the entire populace who would find themselves faced with a painful deficit to make up, causing other waves of contagious depression, job losses as well as tsunamis of budget cuts in services and inevitable privatizations.

Epilogue

Women and men of Sapientude: please denounce these brutes from the exploitation of their illegitimate pedestal in order to pitch them to the very bottom of the summit of the Alps. Let us not wait for their assent to put an end to this infamous blackmail and this dehumanizing masquerade full of money and empty of meaning, truncating hope and reaping finality and which continues to dry up the founding sources of true living together in the sharing, respect and harmony. Let us free ourselves from this unfair circle of servitude as well as from the yoke of this awful and flashy clique of Davosian primates.

PS If stupidity (human stupidity) could be measured, he (Donald Trump) would serve as a standard measure. Michel Audiard
