The CSV deputy mayor of Hesperange, Marc Lies, 56, is taking a two-month political break, he confirmed after RTL Monday evening.
as Marc Lies assured, this leave would not change “absolutely nothing” to the daily activities of the municipality and no political charge will be transmitted.
The CSV-DP aldermanic council will continue to assume its political tasks, so as not to leave any void.
-The Minister of the Interior was also informed of Marc Lies’ decision. This is a purely personal decision, driven by the politician’s desire to take a break after a period of extreme stress.
Marc Lies will also suspend his parliamentary mandate for the next two months. The CSV politician is currently chairman of the “Internal Affairs” committee in the Chamber of Deputies. Marc Lies will also lead the next municipal council.
In Hesperange, the CSV-DP majority had obtained 12 seats out of 17 within the municipal council.
