During this lesson, which took place without incident, a 13-year-old schoolgirl nevertheless pointed out that “it’s not okay to show caricatures.” And a week later, on January 16, this same schoolgirl reported to the teacher that “a high school student is going to come and kill you because you showed caricatures”, reveals “L’Est Républicain”. The young girl was immediately summoned by her establishment to explain herself and a complaint was filed by the teacher.

“Well-constituted threat”

In the shadow of the assassinations of professors Samuel Paty and Dominique Bernard, the information quickly went back to the public prosecutor, Paul-Édouard Lallois. “Proceedings were immediately opened for death threats and I asked that the student be questioned very quickly in police custody,” he declared. During his hearing, the student spoke of a “joke”, ensuring that she had “not threatened him directly”.

But according to the prosecutor, “the threat was well constituted” and the teenager “played on words”. He assures that this affair “makes all college students think, no matter how young they are.”
