A man in his fifties was found dead by a bus driver this Thursday, January 16, near the Luminy university campus at the gates of Calanques in Marseille. The victim is a missing person from a nearby hospital.

The call to the police took place early in the morning, this Thursday, January 16, around 9:20 a.m. in front of the Luminy campus in Marseille, in the 9th arrondissement. A bus driver made the macabre discovery of a man lying on the ground with his head covered in blood. Firefighters were sent to the scene, but they could only note the person’s death.
-The call was made by the driver of the bus, which has its terminus in Luminy, at 8:30 a.m. The police intervened immediately and the body was lifted at 4:30 p.m., the time necessary to make all the findings for the purposes of the investigation. If the death seems suspicious, the criminal trail is not favored, according to investigators.
According to the first elements collected on site by the police, everything suggests that the death was not natural. “The victim wears a bandage on his head and wrist. He has bruises on his right shoulder and has dried blood on him,” specifies a police source to France 3 Paca.
An investigation is open to determine the causes and circumstances of this death.
