Three questions to…
Véronique Duch, new library manager.
Can you introduce yourself?
I am 34 years old, I live in Hénon and for the last four years, I have participated in the running of a social, economic and digital third place in Moncontour.
What will your arrival at the library enable?
-While waiting for the opening of the third place with its media library, when the work underway in the former public school will be completed, the library’s opening hours have been increased from 4 to 18 hours per week. Which now gives five hours: Tuesday and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. As I am hired full-time, the rest of the time will allow me to work on the third-place project, meeting the different partners to design a physical place to do things together.
How will Reading Night go on Friday?
In two stages, knowing that you can participate in only one of the two events if you want. We will begin with a visit to two elements of the municipality’s heritage, Heritage being precisely the theme of this national meeting which will be in its 9th year.e edition. Meet at 6 p.m. at the chapel of Sainte-Anne du Houlin for a guided tour before heading to the Petit Moulin, on the road to Saint-Donan. Travel will be by personal car. Then, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the library will host readings of tales and legends before tasting soups brought by participants.
Friday, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., reading night. Free. Information and registrations on tel. 02 96 42 99 09 or by email to [email protected]
