Big revelation of the Strasbourg defense this season, Mamadou Sarr will soon be a Chelsea player. The 19-year-old defender, who will remain on loan at Strasbourg, is seen as a key element of the Blues’ long-term project.
According to transfer specialist journalist Fabrizio Romano, Mamadou Sarr is about to sign a long-term contract at Chelsea. The Blues and the player’s representatives have agreed to an agreement which should cost around €15 million (bonus included). Furthermore, the central defender will remain on loan at Strasbourg until the end of the season.
Author of an excellent season under the colors of the Alsatian team, Mamadou Sarr is in Maresca’s plans for the Club World Cup which will be held next summer. As a reminder, Pape Mamadou Diongue is also cited as a future signatory for the Blues while his progress in Strasbourg is well evaluated.
