Camélia Jordana: a famous rapper attacks her and accuses her of plagiarism

After several years of absence, Camélia Jordana made her return a few days ago with the song Win Rak. A title, accompanied by a clip, in which the ex-candidate of The New Star celebrates its Algerian roots.

In this new song, his fans can hear him singing in French, Spanish and Darija, an Algerian dialect. In the clip available for a few days, Internet users can discover the 32-year-old singer playing a couple with the rapper Fianso.

Nayra lets out a rant

However, if the clip and the song have already been validated by Camélia Jordana’s fans, it obviously poses a problem for another artist. Indeed, the rapper Nayra has just taken the floor on her social networks to make a rant.

As noted by our colleagues from Purecharts, this singer followed by 35,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, suspects the former candidate of “Nouvelle Star” of having been very largely inspired by different visuals taken from three of her clips to design the video for her title ‘Win Rak’”.

In any case, this is what she believes in several stories published on her Instagram account. “It’s not my habit, but… You know how much I put my heart and soul into every project I create. Seeing my ideas and visuals taken up without recognition is hard to take.”she initially regretted.

Before attacking Camélia Jordana directly:And after checking, the similarities with my visuals ‘Le ’, ‘Boussa’ and ‘Prête’ are too obvious to be ignored (…) This unique and thoughtful artisanal process reflects months of reflection, effort and collective work. To see all of this taken up without acknowledgment is a lack of respect for everyone involved.”.

In an attempt to prove her accusations, Nayra shared several screenshots taken from her cited clips to compare them to passages from Win Rak. As noted once again by our colleagues at Purechartsthe rapper would have directly contacted Camélia Jordana but the latter would not have responded to her according to her statements.

“This silence is as frustrating as it is eloquent”plagues the artist before specifying: “It’s not a question of ego but of ethics. What I ask is simple: respect the work, the sweat, the tears, the doubts, the sleepless nights, the history and the effort that lies behind these works. (…) Camélia, if you see this message, the door remains open for a sincere exchange”. It remains to be seen whether common ground will be found between the two singers.
