The second preparatory meeting of the 5e edition of the large blood drive called 500 for blood scheduled for Saturday March 15, 2025 in Bocapole, took place on Saturday January 18, 2025 at the headquarters of the Rotary club of Bressuire.
This collection, organized by the Lion's club and Rotary associated with the French Blood Establishment, takes place every two years in Bressuire. During the last edition, 295 donors showed up. “This year, we hope to do as well”confides Doctor Brigitte Martin, head of sample delivery at the Niort site of the French Blood Establishment (EFS). The organizers hope to even pass the 300 people mark, “we really count on the generosity of blood donors”. This 500 blood collection remains to this day the largest in Nord-Deux-Sèvres.
As a reminder, “Donating blood helps treat patients. If there were no blood donors, there would be no blood transfusion possible.”summarizes Brigitte Martin.
