After several years of investigations, several months of interrogations, Monique Olivier, ex-wife of serial killer Michel Fourniret, recognized his involvement in kidnapping and death from Lydie Logé, near Argentan (Orne).

After more than thirty years of uncertainty, Lydie Logé’s family finally knows the truth. This Monday January 20, 2025our colleagues from RTL announce the confession of the ex-wife of the serial killer: “Monique Olivier confesses her role in the kidnapping and death of another victim of Michel Fourniret in 1993.”

Contacted by The Orne Journal the 6 mars 2024l’lawyer for the family of Lydie Logédisappeared on Saturday December 18, 1993was formal:

Monique Olivier always ends up confessing to her crimes. As with the Estelle Mouzin affair, it is always Monique Olivier who confesses. I trust (her), it was she who helped us in 2004 when it was time to confess. »

A look back at the kidnapping and death of Lydie Logé

Ce Saturday December 18, 1993Lydie Logé, aged 29, married and mother of a 7 year old childwent to Argentan to do his Christmas shopping, before returning to his house, about 10 km away, in Saint-Christophe-le-Jajolet. She will be kidnapped by the Olivier-Fourniret couple once she arrives at her home.

The interrogation conducted by the judge Sabine Khéris would have made it possible to know in detail the course of this day: the kidnapping, the aborted attempted rape and the death of Lydie Housed by strangulation.

Lydie Logé’s DNA had already been found on an element of Fourniret’s vehicle in 2003.

Monique Olivier, indicted for complicity, could now be judged. Searches are underway to find the body, while the victim’s family hopes for full answers.
