A couple and their three children evacuated on time

A fire broke out in an old Comté farm of 300 m2, transformed into two apartments. Emergency services then pulled an 86-year-old man out of the burning home. He had died and was taken care of directly by the funeral directors. In the second home, two parents and three children were evacuated before help arrived. The latter are relocated to a lodge.

At the height of the intervention, firefighters from Charquemont, Maîche, Damprichard, Pierrefontaine, Hérimoncourt, Baume-les-Dames and Montbéliard were on site. Enedis, the water service, the national gendarmerie and the mayor of the town were also on the scene. The circumstances of the fire have yet to be determined.
